ZENITH RACING SERIES x GINETTA CHALLENGE NORTH AMERICA JOIN for the 2027 ZRS SPRINT CUP SEASON.

INTRODUCING ZR3-G: ZEnith’s first SuB-Class of ZRS SPRINT CUp

OCTOBER 23, 2026

Zenith Racing Series is excited to welcome the Ginetta Challenge North American championship to the 2027 ZRS Sprint Cup calendar: To compete within the ZRS Sprint sub-class of ZR3, meeting all ZR3 Technical and Sporting regulations in addition to their spec-series regulations. This gives ZR3-G drivers the opportunity to score points toward both the Ginetta Challenge titles and the ZRS Sprint Cup Weekend Championship.

FIVE-WEEKEND 2027 GINETTA CHALLENGE CALENDAR
The 2027 Ginetta Challenge opens at Sebring International Raceway in April and concludes at Daytona International Speedway in November, visiting five of the circuits on the nine-weekend 2027 ZRS calendar:

Round 1 | Sebring International Raceway | April 2–4

Round 2 | Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta | May 6–8

Round 3 | Watkins Glen International | June 4–6

Round 4 | VIRginia International Raceway | July 9–11

Round 5 | Daytona International Speedway | November 12–14

ZR3-G teams are also welcome to add the optional test day to their weekend program, for up to seven additional hours of track time.

Ginetta Challenge competitors can expect more than two hours of practice and qualifying at every round, followed by three 30-to-40-minute races. That adds up to more than four hours of high-intensity track time across the weekend.
The format pairs substantial track time with full ZRS event infrastructure, from professional race operations and officials to hospitality, at some of the country's leading road racing venues. Weekend scheduling also allows a car to compete in both the Sprint Cup and the Zenith Endurance event, giving teams flexibility to share a car among drivers or build an endurance program around their Ginetta.

Ginetta Challenge will hold two championships for the spec class, including a NEW Master Class Championship for experienced drivers aged 40 and over. Master Class drivers race in the same events and the same equipment as the full field, while scoring for a dedicated title of their own, recognizing the experienced amateur racers who form the backbone of the Ginetta customer community.

Entrants benefit from trackside parts and technical support from Ginetta North America at every round. The trackside parts will also be available to all ZRS Ginetta teams, as an added benefit for our Endurance and other Sprint Cup teams. Pirelli Motorsport continues as the official spec tire of Ginetta Challenge (ZR3-G), but will not apply to the overall class of ZR3: ZR3 itself will remain open-tire choice.

"Our job is to make racing a Ginetta as easy and rewarding as possible. Joining Zenith gives our customers a premium paddock, a strong calendar and the full support of Ginetta North America at every round. Initial reactions from current teams have been fantastic with large grids expected. We're ready for 2027." Mark Swain, President - Ginetta North America

"The alignment of Ginetta's G56 GTA spec platform and our ZR3 Sprint Cup class is natural. We are thrilled to have the Ginetta Challenge drivers and teams join the Zenith paddock and community for the 2027 season. With Zenith's emphasis on clean, maximum track time and the racer experience, we believe this will be a great fit for Ginetta. Welcome, ZR3-G!" Emma Adams, Series Manager - Zenith Racing Series

Drivers interested in competing in the 2027 Ginetta Challenge, purchasing a Ginetta G56 GTA, or arranging a test are encouraged to contact Ginetta North America or Zenith Racing Series.
